Dr. Keon Manesh graduated Top 10 Magna cum Laude in his class at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). Inspired by his father, a 1993 alumnus of the same esteemed institution, Dr. Manesh is a dedicated general dentist whose passion for dentistry blends academic excellence, clinical expertise, and a commitment to community service. Dr. Manesh’s journey began at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. After undergrad, he worked alongside his father in their family dental practices, fueling his expertise in comprehensive dentistry, including operative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. He furthered his education at Johns Hopkins University, earning a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, honing his scientific and innovative thinking. At the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Manesh distinguished himself as a leader, serving as President of his DDS class for all four years. He was selected as one of only three students for the prestigious Diamond Scholars Program. In his final year, he treated patients at the University’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Clinic alongside residents, mastering complex procedures and delivering advanced dental care. Dr. Alina Lu completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Iowa State University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Following dental school, Dr. Lu pursued further training in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at NYU Langone in Northern California, where she refined her skills across a broad range of dental procedures. Dr. Lu enjoys serving her patients by offering comprehensive care, including restorative work such as fillings, crowns, and bridges, as well as dentures and Invisalign. She is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and helping patients feel more confident. Her commitment to excellence has driven her to continually expand her knowledge in full mouth reconstruction and cosmetic dentistry, ensuring she stays at the forefront of the latest techniques and innovations. Dr. Lu is an active member of the Kois Dental Club and the American Dental Association. Her philosophy of patient care is to provide high-quality treatment while meeting each patient’s unique needs, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and comfort. Dr. Yutaka Okamoto is a skilled and compassionate general dentist with over 20 years of experience delivering comprehensive, patient-focused dental care. He was the founder and owner of SmileWell in North Bethesda, Maryland, where he provided a wide range of services including Invisalign, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, implant restorations, and full-mouth rehabilitation. During his time at SmileWell, Dr. Okamoto was consistently recognized for clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. His accolades include Washingtonian Top Dentist (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025), Bethesda’s Best Dentist (2020, 2022, 2024), and a place on the Washingtonian Wall of Fame. Dr. Okamoto continues to advance the profession through education. He has been serving as a clinical instructor as a Dean’s Faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, mentoring, teaching and educating dental students. Dr. Okamoto’s educational background reflects his dedication to both healthcare and business. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland, followed by a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where he was recognized as the top-producing resident. He also completed post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Okamoto enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and preparing Asian cuisine. He is a first-degree black belt in Judo and a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Dr. Amaya earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of El Salvador in 2004. He worked in private practice early in his career for about 6 years. Dr. Amaya relocated to the Washington, DC area. He continued his education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Amaya is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. He has been working in the Washington, DC area since 2019. Dr. Amaya enjoys practicing dentistry; he has helped a diverse population. with procedures that include restorative work such as crowns, fillings, bridges, as well as complete and partial dentures, root canals, and extractions. He is passionate about dentistry in general. He periodically takes continuing education courses. To be up to date with materials and techniques that help him deliver the best dental experience possible to his patients. Dr. Amaya is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. Also, he volunteers for different organizations, in the United States and abroad, helping underserved communities. Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Amaya enjoys traveling, hiking, watching soccer and basketball games, and movies. and trying different restaurants in the DC area to have a work-life balance.

Dr. Zadeh is a general dentist committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Dr. Zadeh earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park before completing her dental training at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. With a strong focus on comprehensive, reliable, and compassionate dentistry, Dr. Zadeh takes pride in delivering excellent work while ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable. She believes education is a key part of every appointment and enjoy helping patients understand their oral health and treatment options so they can make confident decisions about their care. Dr. Zadeh is committed to staying current with advancements in dental technology, materials, and techniques. Dr. Christopher Drennen is a Board-Certified Periodontist who is proud to provide comprehensive periodontal care to his patients and pursue his passion for helping others. He has received a Leadership Award from the International College of Dentists in addition to many other recognitions attained while serving as class president throughout all four years of dental school at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Drennen has treated thousands of patients in his career, providing specialty care with intense focus on minimally-invasive periodontal surgery, implant surgery, and full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Drennen is certified to perform the LANAP procedure, the LAPIP procedure, and the Pinhole Surgical Technique. After attaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree, Dr. Drennen pursued a post-graduate residency in Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine and was trained during his three-year residency in practicing comprehensive periodontal treatment, along with training in dental implant surgery. His clinical research investigated differences in clinical and histological characteristics between Nobel Biocare NobelActive and NobelReplace dental implants. Dr. Drennen is published in the April 2012 issue of Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry through his research with colleagues entitled, ‘A Modified Ridge Expansion Technique in the Maxilla.’ He has lectured at the Florida Association of Periodontists (FAP) meeting regarding the role of dynamic and static guided systems in dental implant surgery. In his free time, Dr. Drennen enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and playing the guitar, piano, or drums.

Dr. Chen is a dual degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, she completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University, graduating on the Dean’s List. She continued her education at the University of British Columbia where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Chen went on to obtain her medical degree (MD) from the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in the top of her class and was inducted into the AOA honor society. She then went on to complete her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Columbia University Medical Center / New York Presbyterian Hospital where she received extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, craniofacial/cleft surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma surgery, and reconstructive surgery. During her residency, she completed a year of training in General Surgery and served as the Chief Resident in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during her final year of training. Dr. Chen also has a special interest in global oral and maxillofacial surgery and has participated in mission trips to Colombia where she treated children with craniofacial abnormalities. Dr. Chen practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery (wisdom teeth removal, implants, bone grafting), outpatient sedation/anesthesia, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, craniomaxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, benign craniofacial pathology, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Dr. Robert Choe is a prosthodontist with over a decade of clinical experience. His treatment expertise lies in conventional partial and complete dentures, crown & bridge treatments, implant therapies, and full mouth oral rehabilitation (conventional and All-on-X) cases. Dr. Choe completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Duke University before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Then, he went on to complete his residency training in Prosthodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and his bioengineering PhD at University of Maryland College Park. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Choe is an accomplished researcher and innovator. He has presented at numerous national/international dental and bioengineering conferences, published 10 scientific manuscripts, and has been granted 1 patent. Currently, Dr. Choe is involved in various R&D initiatives with academia and industry to drive innovation and global betterment in the dental field. In his free time, Dr. Choe enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing tennis, and traveling.

Dr. Pratik Patel, a native of Virginia, attended Bishop Ireton High School. He graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in computer science. Dr. Patel received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completed his general practice residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After working as a general dentist, Dr. Patel decided to pursue further training and specialize in endodontics. He received his certificate in endodontics from Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Patel is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC). He enjoys traveling, sports and outdoor activities.
